Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Asociatia Learn, Build and Share (“LBS”, “we”, “us”) collects through the learnbuildshare.ro website (the “Site”), why we collect it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”). We will not use or share your data except as described here.

Definitions

Our principles

What personal data we collect

  • Newsletter: your email address, when you subscribe.
  • Contact form: your name, email address and message, when you write to us.
  • Email: your email address and anything you include, when you email us directly.
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the date and time of your visit. This is recorded in our server logs and in your browser session, and is used briefly to limit repeated form submissions as protection against spam.

We do not ask for sensitive data. Please do not include it in your messages.

Cookies

The Site uses only the cookies it needs to work: a session cookie and a security token that protects our forms against misuse. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our fonts and other files are served from our own server, so no third party is told about your visit.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary, we do not ask for consent before setting them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the contact and newsletter forms may stop working.

How we use your data

  • to reply to your messages and follow up on your request;
  • to keep the Site secure, prevent spam and fix technical problems;

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Legal basis

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): for the newsletter. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): to answer the messages you send us and to keep the Site secure and working.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): where the law requires us to keep or disclose data.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Site, such as our hosting provider, our email delivery provider and, if we use one, our newsletter service. They process the data on our behalf and only according to our instructions. If any of them processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may also disclose personal data when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Messages: for as long as we need them to handle your request and any follow-up.
  • Technical data: for a short time, as needed for security and troubleshooting.

We may keep data longer where we need it to comply with the law, resolve disputes or enforce our policies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict how we process your data;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority, the Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP), at dataprotection.ro.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to other websites

The Site links to websites we do not operate, such as our projects, partners and social media pages. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their privacy policies.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when they are published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated. Please check this page periodically.
